Glorious sunshine, a lovely crowd, and our first live performance in 14 months. We have to admit that despite a few hurried rehearsals we might not be quite at our best, but once we got going things fell into place. Yes there were bum notes, an overheated bass amp which shut down briefly, much to the surprise of the band and audience alike, but it felt good to be back. The bar staff worked hard to keep the punters fed and watered, almost relentless throughout the afternoon, so credit to them. We had got into our stride as the second set reached its halfway mark, the audience joined in, and there were even a few people dancing, socially distanced of course.
It was great fun and we can't wait to do it again. We will return to the Dukes in September, its possible it'll be an indoor gig by then, but let's see what the weather provides.

We'd like to extend our thanks to the crowd who attended, the tireless bar staff, and of course Tony the landlord for his hospitality and enthusiasm, and of course or booking us in the first place.
Look forward to seeing you all next time!
